Explore and experience
The island of Rábida is immediately recognizable by its beautiful red beach and cliffs. The landscape’s distinctive red colour was created by oxidized volcanic material. As soon as you jump off the panga to walk onto the beach and dry your feet you will be greeted by a noisy colony of sea lions.
A path lined with cacti and palo santo trees leads from the beach to a nearby lagoon where you can observe various waders. The brown pelican builds its nest and sometimes the flamingo visits this area. The path continues to the top of the island from where you have a beautiful view of the red beach, which looks beautifully against the blue sea.
When you come back to the beach you can go snorkeling and observe the wonderful marine life of Rábida.
