Beagle
14 passengers, 1 guide, 7 crew
The one sailing ship in the Galápagos allowed to carry the iconic name “Beagle”; go back to Darwin’s ages and discover its islands with the comfort of today. The Beagle was built in England in 1970 and is now one of the few sailing ships to navigate the waters of the Galápagos. Because of its focus on nature conservation, the Beagle has been awarded the Smart Voyager certificate. As a guest you have the luxury of wide and spacious decks with comfortable seats where you can enjoy the sun, the landscape and the animal life around you. The beautiful teak deck and the tasteful interior of this traditional schooner give you the maritime feeling that complement such a unique journey.
With a maximum of 14 guests on board you are assured of a personal service. On the Beagle you will spend a lot of time outside, where you will experience the most beautiful Galápagos! The culinary dishes (a mix of Ecuadorian and international cuisine) are served outside in the restaurant area. Enjoy the view and the fresh sea breeze on the sun- and observation deck or have a drink at the well-stocked bar. If you still want to unwind indoors and have fun in the lounge, you can choose a book or a game from the small library.
The Beagle offers accommodation in 6 cabins with bunk beds and 1 cabin with a single bed, all with en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. It is good to know that the Beagle is also very suitable for single travelers. You will not pay a single-supplement when the 1-person cabin is available or when you are willing to share your cabin with another person of the same sex.
You can choose from an 8-day expedition cruise to the north-west or south-east, or combine both routes into a 15-day adventure in which you will see and experience everything the Galápagos has to offer. You are very welcome aboard the Beagle, the attentive crew is ready to give you a wonderful holiday.
