Ikala Quito Hotel
The design of Ikala Quito Hotel is inspired by the history and regions of Ecuador. The hotel, located in the modern La Mariscal district, opened its doors in June 2011. It offers 16 unique suites, each with its own story, decorated by local artists such as Eduardo Vega, Alexandra Moshenek and Edgar Carrasco. As a consequence, every room completely different, but naturally equipped with all modern comfort.
The hotel was designed in a colonial-style house, traditional for this neighborhood, and refurbished to offer its guests an unforgettable experience. Ikala Quito has its own good restaurant, but if you prefer to eat outside, there are many options available in the immediate area. If you want to fully relax after a long day in the city, you can reserve the jacuzzi entirely for yourself. On the top floor there is a pleasant roof terrace offer a magnificent view over the city whilst sipping hot chocolate or a refreshing cup of coffee.
I stayed at this hotel and was received with a warm welcome. My room was the Glass Suite on the third floor. A spacious, clear room decorated with modern glass artworks by Alexandra Moshenek. There was delicious fruit in the room and my little balcony offered a beautiful view of the city in the warm light of the sunset. The breakfast is nice and extensive and is served buffet style.
Ikala also has a hotel in Puerto Ayora on the Galápagos Island of Santa Cruz. We are happy to offer both hotels to our guests. We know the owners well. They are directly involved in their accommodations and pay attention to every detail. The atmosphere in these hotels is excellent and the rooms are large and tastefully decorated.
