CIRQA

The convent in which hotel CIRQA is located was originally built in 1540, the year in which the city of Arequipa was founded. This intimate hotel breathes the atmosphere of the past by honouring the traditional Arequipan architecture combined with modern nuances. The thick powerful walls, arches and columns, all made of volcanic sillar rock (typical of this city), have been preserved as carefully as possible and form the timeless core of this property. Some rooms still have the beautiful original high vaulted ceilings. The roof has been transformed into an organic garden that serves as the basis for the rural picantería in the heart of the city.

CIRQA is a place of tranquillity in the centre of the city. The hotel’s refined cuisine allows you to taste a variety of local specialty dishes.

With only 11 rooms, the Relais & Châteaux CIRQA is a boutique hotel with personal service. You can relax in the salon or spa which has a small pool located in the patio.

We absolutely love this hotel. The decor is very tastefully designed with great respect for the historical character. Nothing is left to be desired. The service is impeccable and extremely friendly, the kitchen sublime. And all this within walking distance of the main square of Arequipa. Perfection in every detail!
